Supporting Parlour for women in architecture

Initiated as part of an Australian Research Council funded project, "Equity and Diversity in the Australian Architecture Profession: Women, Work, and Leadership", led by University of Queensland's Naomi Stead, Parlour is a website promoting gender equity in architecture.

The website itself is run by Justine Clark, former Editor of Architecture Australia magazine, and features a range of articles, publishing research, conducting surveys and more. The result is a highly successful platform: "a space to speak – bringing together research, informed opinion and resources; generating debate and discussion; expanding the spaces for women in Australian architecture."

Bijl Architecture is proud to be a supporter of Parlour, donating $1000 to become one of eight Parlour "Intriguers". The full list of supporters from the recent crowd funding campaign is online here
