Construction is well underway on a new substantial renovation and addition in Castlecrag with stunning views across the tree canopies to North Sydney and the city. This 1970s brick house with a dated appearance is undergoing a complete rejuvenation, including a striking new blade wall front facade with a geometric formalism that gives hierarchy and order to the streetfront appearance.
A new entry canopy leads through to an impressive internal entry foyer and a new open stair that leads to the extended upper level. The rear boundary of the garden and exterior has been moved inwards, allowing what was a dank, indoor pool to connect with a generous garden and patio area as a refurbished outdoor pool and entertaining area. Upstairs, a new main bedroom suite is formed by the rear addition, complete with balconies and windows framing the outstanding district views.
Due to be completed in September 2016, the builder is Wilkinstruct, who recently completed the Escu House, with engineering consultancy by Partridge.
